Visitors and guests who flock to the Palace Hotel this weekend will encounter a traditional market in contrast to the hotel's palatial aesthetic.

The Antón Martín Market moves tonight and Saturday to the dome of the establishment to offer a gourmet tasting menu in which Mediterranean and Latin flavors will coexist.

The gastronomic proposal consists of five dishes and a very Madrid appetizer based on a vermouth with chips. The gastronomic festival proposed by the market starts with a mixed ceviche of prawns and sea bass with citrus milk and passion, prepared by the El Mono de la Pila stall.

Then comes the turn of the Parmigiana to the Sicilian of El Cunzato, a trip to the Italian region without leaving Madrid and as a third course, the Italian-Colombian fusion of Majo's Food, with its arepa stuffed with Colombian chicken, a delicious combination of Mediterranean and Latin American cuisine.

The gastronomic route continues with other Latin American specialties such as meat in the pot, which consists of a pork cheek in ancho chile sauce and chocolate from the veteran Cutzamala post.

All this washed down with a selection of exclusive Mahou-San Miguel beers, which have proposed a special pairing for the occasion.

And to finish as dessert the famous cheesecake and pistachio of Caracola, one of the market stalls that are most successful in the capital of Madrid.

The San Antón Market -located between Atocha and Santa Isabel streets- opened its doors more than 80 years ago and currently houses food stalls and organic products, as well as vermouths, cafes and small restaurants with gastronomic offer from different parts of the world.

The menu is offered today, Friday, March 24 during dinner hours and Saturday, March 25 during lunch and dinner, at a price of € 65 per cover, VAT included. You can book on the phone 91 360 76 67 or by email at larotonda.palace@westin.com
