More fear than harm for children

18 children were also slightly injured, four of them were taken to hospital for observation.

But more fear than harm, according to Philippe Laurent, mayor of Sceaux.

"It was a bit dramatized at the start of the morning. It was a bit difficult to know exactly what the situation was. We were told about children who were seriously injured and in fact, this was not the case. The bus stayed on its wheels, there was no crash or anything. All the children came out of the hospitals where they were visiting, "he summarizes.

The 40 children reached Paris by train the same evening to find their family in Sceaux, around 11 p.m.
