A relative of the couple, named Tom T., was arrested and taken into custody on Tuesday in the investigation into the disappearance of the young couple Leslie and Kevin.

It is at his home, in his absence that the young couple was to spend the night after an evening in Prahecq last November.

A second individual was arrested on Wednesday.

The case had been going around in circles for more than three months.

The investigation into Leslie and Kevin's disappearance may have taken a step forward.

This young couple of 22 and 21 years old has not given any sign of life since November 26, after an evening spent in Prahecq, near Niort in Deux-Sèvres.

A relative, named Tom T., was arrested and taken into custody on Tuesday.

A judicial investigation for kidnapping and forcible confinement has been opened

"There are so many versions that have been said that we don't even know where we are going."

During a beat organized at the beginning of January in Prahecq, Tom had not hesitated to appear in front of the microphone to express his questions.

"At the beginning, there were leads, now there are others," he said.

Less than two months later, after more than a hundred interviews and dozens of samples taken, the investigators seem to have found a real lead.

This led them directly to this same Tom T., arrested Tuesday morning in Vendée.

Leslie and Kevin were to spend the night at his home in Prahecq, when the couple vanished at the end of November.

Since then, a judicial investigation for kidnapping and forcible confinement has been opened.

Inconsistencies between a suspect's account and the blocking of his phone

If he always assured to be totally foreign to this disappearance, the investigation would however have revealed inconsistencies between the story of Tom T. and the demarcation of his telephone.

On Wednesday, a second 22-year-old individual was also arrested in La Rochelle in connection with this same case, which could be linked to drug trafficking.

After 48 hours in police custody, Tom T. must be presented this Thursday before an examining magistrate in Poitiers for a possible indictment.

Now it remains to be seen why.
