A 21-year-old man was arrested on February 6 in Saint Etienne for rapes committed under the threat of broadcasting intimate photos of young girls on the internet.
After his arrest, he was indicted and imprisoned in Lyon.
If he admitted to having pressured a victim, he contests any sexual assault.
He is suspected of having forced sexual relations on young women by threatening them with publishing naked photos.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the suspect obtained these intimate photos on social networks where exchanges and meetings also took place.

But in November 2021, the complaint filed by a 15-year-old girl will make it possible to identify and arrest the alleged attacker.
Fearing the disclosure of certain photos, the teenager would have agreed to go to a hotel in Lyon where the suspect would have imposed sexual relations on her.
11 victims identified
The investigations carried out by the departmental security of the Loire made it possible to identify it and to update the operating mode.
Comparisons could thus be made with other similar acts committed in Saint-Etienne and Lyon.
In total, 11 young women, victims of these acts have been identified by the investigators.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and remanded in custody.
During his police custody, he admitted to having pressured the young girl to obtain the photographs but disputes any rape.
