Thousands of computer servers around the world have been affected by a ransomware attack, the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) reported on Sunday, warning organizations to take measures to protect their systems.
The Italian news agency ANSA, citing ACN, reported that servers in other European countries, such as France and Finland, as well as in the United States and Canada, had been affected.
Dozens of Italian organizations are likely to have been affected and many more have been warned to take steps to avoid blocking their systems.
