Samsung Electronics unveiled a new smartphone model, the Galaxy S23 series, in the early morning of the 2nd.

It is equipped with a camera of up to 200 million pixels, and it is noteworthy whether it can make a breakthrough in the mobile business field, which has recently been sluggish.

Samsung Electronics opened the 'Galaxy Unpack 2023' event in San Francisco, USA this morning in our time, and released three species such as the regular model Galaxy S23, the high-end model S23 Plus, and the top-notch model Ultra.



It has been three years since the Unpacked event was held offline.

The released S23 series, in particular, has greatly improved camera performance.



The S23 and S23 Plus have a 50-megapixel camera, while the Ultra has a 200-megapixel image sensor and an upgraded aperture.



The 200 million pixel sensor was developed by Samsung for the first time in the world in 2021 and has been supplied to Motorola and Xiaomi smartphones.



The 2 billion pixel sensor 'Isocel HP2' used in this S23 Ultra is known to have improved the quality more than the existing 2 billion pixel products.



US Apple's iPhone 14 uses a 48 million pixel sensor.



Samsung Electronics also emphasized, "By applying Qualcomm's latest processor, the speed of the graphics processing unit has been improved by 41%, and the heat control function has been strengthened so that you can enjoy long-time games without discomfort."



The S23 series will be sold sequentially around the world from the 17th, and pre-sales will be held in Korea from the 7th to the 13th.



In the fourth quarter of last year, Samsung Electronics' mobile network sales were KRW 26.9 trillion, down 7% from the same period last year, and operating profit was KRW 1.7 trillion, down 36.1%.
