Following the 'heating cost bomb', public transportation fares, which are the 'feet of the common people', are increasing one after another across the country.

As prices fluctuate due to oil price hikes and public utility bills are competitively rising, the burden felt by the people is expected to increase.

According to local governments across the country today (1st), the rate displayed on taxi meters is increasing even faster.

Due to the rise in transportation costs such as labor costs and LP gas prices, an increase in transportation costs is inevitable.

Gangwon-do raised the basic taxi fare by 500 won from 3,300 won in April last year, and Ulsan City raised it by 700 won to 4,000 won on the 1st of last month.

Daegu City also raised the basic fare to the same level as Ulsan City on the 16th of last month, and Seoul City also raised the basic fare for medium-sized taxis by 1,000 won to 4,800 won at 4 am today.

These cities and provinces are suppressing the voices of city bus fare hikes, but other regions are speeding up the fare hikes.

After Gangwon-do raised city bus fares from 1,400 won to 1,700 won last month, Ulsan and Daegu are also considering raising city bus fares.

Chungcheongbuk-do and Daejeon City are in the position that there are enough factors to increase city bus fares, but it is still premature, and Gyeongnam Province and Gwangju City have not made plans to increase city bus or subway fares.
