The Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office has additionally indicted Hong, the grandson of the founder of Namyang Dairy Products, for violating the Narcotics Control Act.



At the end of last year, Mr. Hong is accused of selling liquid marijuana to five people, including Mr. Kim, the son of a former police chief, on a total of 16 occasions.



Previously, in October of last year, he was arrested and indicted for selling hemp once, possessing and smoking 62mL of liquid hemp and 14g of cannabis.



The prosecution is said to have captured the circumstances of Hong's additional crimes while investigating the crimes of smoking and distributing hemp in wealthy and chaebol families.



On the 26th of last month, the prosecution caught 20 people, including children of rich and chaebol families and celebrities, who habitually smoked marijuana and sold it to their neighbors, and handed 17 people to trial.
