A man in his 60s who tried to set fire to an Incheon subway station was arrested by the police.
Incheon Seobu Police Station announced that they are investigating a man in his 60s on suspicion of arson.
Mr. A is accused of throwing a newspaper on fire with a lighter at Seoknam Station on Incheon Subway Line 2 at around 7:30 pm yesterday (1st) and throwing it into an artificial garden next to the platform.
Station workers extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher, so no one was injured, but some of the simple landscaping facilities were burned.
The police arrested Mr. A, who remained at the scene of the fire, as a current criminal.
A police official explained, "Mr. A is refusing to make a statement, such as denying the crime while drunk."
