'Korean Kimchi Master No. 1' Kim Soon-ja, CEO of Hansung Foods, is suspected of making kimchi with poor ingredients, but I've seen many news that he was handed over to trial.



On the 27th of last month, the Food and Drug Administration of the Seoul Western District Prosecutor’s Office indicted eight people related to the company, including CEO Kim and Vice President A of Hyowon, a subsidiary of Hansung Food, for violating the Food Sanitation Act.



They are accused of manufacturing and selling 240,000 kg of kimchi from 2019 to February last year with poor ingredients such as discolored cabbage and moldy radish.



After this case was known by media reports in February of last year, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety launched an investigation and sent it to the prosecution in October of the same year. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety identified Mr. A as the main culprit and handed over the case. also revealed.



CEO Kim was designated as a 'Food Master' by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 2007 and as a 'Korean Master Chief' by the Ministry of Labor in 2012, respectively.
