Apple could soon usher in its line of folding devices, and it wouldn't be with an iPhone.

According to rumors from several experts, a folding iPad is in development and could be unveiled as early as 2024. The news was revealed by Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities, on Twitter.

But for now, nothing has been confirmed, says BFM Tech.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the Californian brand would thus work on a folding iPad which would be equipped with a carbon fiber foot to allow it to stand vertically.

The screens used on these models could be provided by the LG company.

The release of such a device in 2024 had already been mentioned at the end of last year by the firm CCS Insight.

Nothing new for 2023

But this would not be the last improvement anticipated by analysts.

According to Ross Young, specialist in the screen market, Apple would also be working on a 20-inch screen capable of folding back on itself to have the size of a more standard iPad.

However, this novelty should not be marketed before 2026.

Regarding the coming year, no novelty is to be expected according to Ming-Chi Kuo.

The iPad model due out this year would only contain processor improvements and a new iPad mini would eventually see the light of day.

The arrival of this new range of folding devices would allow the brand to stabilize sales of tablets which would experience a drop in sales of 10 to 15% in 2023, according to the analyst.
