As of 12:00 p.m. on the 29th, except for some facilities, the wearing of indoor masks has been switched from mandatory to recommended, and fines for not wearing masks will disappear in most indoor facilities. There are three categories: vulnerable facilities, public transportation, medical institutions and pharmacies.

Infection-vulnerable facilities include long-term care institutions, mental health promotion facilities, and welfare facilities for the disabled.

Public transportation refers to buses, railways, urban railways, passenger ships, ferries, taxis, aircraft, chartered buses, and special passenger vehicles.

In addition, you must wear a mask in the vehicle to and from kindergarten or school.

Masks can be removed indoors and outdoors at subway stations, train stations and airports, as the mandate only applies when you are 'on board' on public transport.

In a facility vulnerable to infection, if you are hospitalized or admitted together in a private space, such as a shared bedroom, or with a resident caregiver or guardian, you are not subject to fines even if you take off your mask.

In the case of medical institutions, it is not necessary to wear a mask only in single-person rooms.

If the pharmacy is located inside another facility, such as a supermarket, only the space declared as a pharmacy is a mandatory facility.

As per the existing standard, infants under 24 months old, persons with brain lesions or developmental disabilities, etc. who find it difficult to wear and take off masks on their own without help, and persons with medical findings that breathing is difficult due to respiratory diseases, etc., are obliged to wear them. Masks may be removed at the facility as well.

However, in this case, you must be able to prove it with a medical certificate and ID.

For children under the age of 14, fines are not imposed according to the 'Regulation of Violation of Order Act'.

In most facilities, the obligation to wear indoor masks has been lifted and is not subject to legal restrictions, but situations where serious infection is a concern can occur outside of mandatory facilities.

To prevent this, the quarantine authorities use the expression 'strongly recommended' to ask people to wear indoor masks in four cases.

In the four cases, ▲ Cases of suspected COVID-19 symptoms or contact with a person with suspected symptoms ▲ Cases of high-risk group or contact with a high-risk group ▲ Cases of contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 2 weeks ▲ 3-cylinder (close, close, Crowded, confined) indoor environment ▲ This applies to cases where there are many activities such as shouting, chorus, and conversation in a crowded situation.

The quarantine authorities have a policy to respect the independent judgment of local governments, business owners, and managers regarding wearing indoor masks.

Therefore, facilities and places subject to fines for not wearing indoor masks can be added through administrative orders by local government.

Companies are revising their quarantine guidelines along with lifting the mandatory indoor mask. In the case of Samsung Electronics, masks are required in spaces such as conference rooms and commuter buses, in addition to individual seats, and group exercise (GX) or use of baths and saunas are mandatory. I was told to wear a mask.

There are not a few places in the food service industry, such as cafes and restaurants, that are considering autonomously maintaining the wearing of masks.
