Jeong Yu-ra, the daughter of Choi Seo-won, who is serving a prison sentence for the Park Geun-hye government's corruption of state affairs, has come forward to publicly demand her mother's pardon.
Choi Seo-won, who was in prison, is currently released after receiving a suspended sentence for spinal surgery and rehabilitation.
Her daughter Jung Yoo-ra opened her mouth on her social media account by saying, "Thank you for extending her mother's suspension of execution."
She spoke of the importance of her mother, saying that she was her only mother and the only support for her three sons.
She went on to state that she was pardoned by former President Park Geun-hye and Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong. I appealed for it to be returned to me.
"If there's any fault, it's my fault for riding the horse and my fault for not going to school," she said, publicly asking for her mother's pardon.
Choi Seo-won was sentenced to 18 years in prison, a fine of 20 billion won, and an additional fine of 6.3 billion won for charges such as abuse of power.
The sentence ends in October 2037.
