Han Ye-won won the 60th Tenor Viñas Competition, which closed in Barcelona, ​​Spain on the 27th local time, and received three special awards, including a special prize at the Royal Theater of Madrid.



Yulia Mercudinova (soprano, Ukraine) took second place, and Ankatrin Nimcek (soprano, Germany) took third place.



The Tenor Viñas Competition is a vocal music competition founded in 1963 to honor the Spanish tenor Francisco Viñas (1863-1933).



It is held every 1 to 3 years for young singers under the age of 33.



Past Korean winners include soprano Sumi Jo (1985), Seongeun Kim (1991), Cho Gyeong-hwa (1996), Seonyoung Seo (2010), Se-young Park (2014), Woo-gyeong Kim (2002), and Jung-hoon Kim (2014). there is.



Han Ye-won, who won this time, debuted in 2021 at the Keum Ho-young Artist Concert and graduated from Seoul National University's College of Music.



Last year, he won third prize at the Neue Steimmen Competition in Germany, and is currently working at the Opera Studio, an educational program for young musicians at the Zurich Opera House in Switzerland.
