A man in his 60s was arrested by the police for setting fire to a rented rooftop room because there was no hot water during a cold wave.
Hyehwa Police Station in Seoul arrested and investigated a man in his 60s yesterday (25th) at 7:48 pm on suspicion of setting fire to a multi-family house in Sungin-dong, Jongno-gu, where he lived (arson of the current building).
The fire burned down a 15 square meter rooftop room, but there were no additional casualties.
During the police investigation, it was confirmed that Mr. A stated the reason for the crime, "I was angry because the weather was cold and there was no hot water."
The police are planning to review the request for an arrest warrant after investigating the crime against Mr. A.
