In Jeju, where tens of thousands of people were stranded on the last day of the Lunar New Year holiday, airliners started taking off and taking off again from the morning of the 25th.

However, there are still people who have not left Jeju, so it will take a little longer for the airport to return to normal.

This is reporter Kim Tae-in of JIBS.

The waiting room on the departure floor of Jeju International Airport is packed with people.

There is a long line of passengers looking for a flight, but most of them can only wait for reservations.

From 7:00 this morning, flights to and from Jeju resumed in earnest.

However, the airport was congested throughout the day as most of the flights were delayed by more than two hours longer than originally scheduled.

The waiting room on the departure floor of Jeju International Airport and the ticketing counters of each airline are crowded with tourists who have flocked since dawn.

Jeju residents who returned home late and tourists who were delayed returning to daily life had to wait anxiously for their turn to take off.

[Ha Hee-chul/Gwanak-gu, Seoul: I arrived at the airport at 5:20 (morning) and I think I've been waiting for about 4 hours now.

I have to go to work quickly, but I'm in a desperate situation today because I don't know what will happen.]

Except for Seoul and Gimpo, which have a relatively high number of flights, it is a matter of picking stars in the sky to get tickets for other regions.

[Lee Young-ah/Nam-gu, Ulsan City: Only going to Gimpo (temporary flight) is being added.

I am in a situation where I do not know what will happen to other regions, so I am in a very difficult situation whether I should go to Gimpo or go to Ulsan.]

Korea Airports Corporation Jeju Airport has increased the number of flights departing from Jeju by about 40, and the departure and arrival time at Gimpo Airport is also set to 1:00 AM tomorrow. It is scheduled to be extended to transport 50,000 sojourners throughout the day.

It seems that it will take another day or so for the airport to return to normal as there are still staying guests.
