Today (23rd) at around 7:25 am, a man in his 30s who broke into the security room of a distribution warehouse in Sinheung-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon, strangled a security guard and stole money and goods and ran away was caught by the police.
The man is said to have struggled with a security guard in his 70s after breaking the glass window of the guard room while babbling to give out the medicine.
However, when the security guard responded with an iron pipe, he took the security guard's jumper containing 200,000 won in cash and ran away.
The police booked the man without detention on charges of theft and violating the Narcotics Control Act, saying that a drug test showed a positive reaction for MDMA (ecstasy).
The police will collect the man's urine and hair and request a detailed examination to the National Institute of Scientific Investigation, while investigating the exact circumstances of the crime.
