Highway congestion continues throughout the morning.

The traffic volume here at the Seoul tollgate is also gradually increasing. Now, traffic is relatively smooth, but as the day dawns, congestion is expected to continue on all sections of the highway.

If you depart from Seoul now, it will take 7 hours and 50 minutes to Busan based on the toll booth.

It is expected that it will take 6 hours and 50 minutes to Daegu, 7 hours and 40 minutes to Gwangju, and 4 hours and 20 minutes to Gangneung.

This is a situation that takes 2 to 3 hours longer than usual.

Estimated turnaround time also increases over time.

We will explain in detail the situation of each major section while watching real-time highway CCTV.

First, it is near the Osan IC on the Gyeongbu Expressway.

The road to Busan on the right is full of cars.

This contrasts with the flow of vehicles on the left in the direction of Seoul.

Next is the Seohaean Expressway around Bibong.

In the direction of Mokpo, the cars are not moving and the turtle is walking.

Subsequently, vehicles are not speeding up near the Hobeop Junction in the direction of Nami on the Jungbu Expressway.

Traffic during this Lunar New Year holiday was predicted to increase by 23% compared to last year when social distancing was in place.

Korea Expressway Corporation expects congestion on the way home to peak between 11:00 am and 12:00 noon today.

Congestion on the way home is expected to be resolved after 8 p.m.

During the Lunar New Year holidays, traffic volume increases, increasing the risk of collisions and increasing the risk of drowsy driving.

Those leaving now should be prepared for long-distance driving.
