A woman who inserted DNA from a college classmate into her body and falsely accused him of being a pseudo-rapist has been caught by the prosecution.

The 1st Criminal Division (Chief Prosecutor Oh Se-moon) of the Gunsan Branch of the Jeonju District Prosecutor's Office announced today (20th) that it has prosecuted Mr. A (30) without detention on charges of false accusation.

Mr. A is accused of submitting a false complaint to the Iksan Police Station in April of last year, saying, "Mr. B, a college classmate, woke me up after taking sleeping pills and raped me."

He reported this to the Sunflower Center about a month before submitting the complaint, and Mr. B's DNA was detected in Mr. A's body.

The police sent Mr. B with the opinion of prosecution based on the results of the DNA test, which has great evidence power in the sexual assault case, but the prosecution questioned Mr. A's actions and requested a supplementary investigation.

The interval between the day of claiming similar rape and the date of DNA test was two weeks, so the prosecution's judgment was that DNA could not be detected if Mr. A lived a normal life.

It was also suspicious that there was no mention of pseudo-rape in the contents of the SNS conversation between Mr. A and Mr. B.

The prosecution, which started digital forensics on mobile phones, proved the falsity of the similar rape accusation by securing the details of messages exchanged with a third party via SNS at the time Mr. A claimed similar rape damage.

As a result of the investigation, Mr. A is indicted for the case of injury to Mr. B and is on trial, and it turns out that he planned this case to gain an advantage in the trial.

An official from the Gunsan branch of the Jeonju District Prosecutor's Office said, "We will thoroughly investigate other cases of sexual violence so that no one is unfairly punished and set the order in the law right."
