A couple who assaulted a taxi driver who was driving for not going the way they knew were both fined.
Daegu District Court Criminal 10 Sole (Presiding Judge Ryu Young-jae) sentenced his husband A (56), who was charged with assaulting a taxi driver, with a fine of 7 million won and his wife B (52) with a fine of 5 million won today (19 day) stated.
Mr. A and his wife boarded a private taxi driven by Mr. C, a taxi driver in his 50s, in downtown Daegu at around 11:30 pm on November 29, 2021.
However, it was investigated that Mr. C argued that he did not drive the way he knew, and that he grabbed his hair twice with abusive language.
In a sudden assault, Mr. C stopped a taxi in front of a police center and got out of the taxi to ask a police officer for help.
The judge explained the reason for the sentence, saying, "As assault by a driver can lead to dangerous results on the road, the illegality is not light."
