The prosecution plans to mobilize compulsory means such as an arrest warrant if Mr. Kang does not appear tomorrow (20th).

On the 9th, as a suspect, Mr. Kang Jong-hyun was first summoned and investigated by the prosecution.



He has been pointed out as the 'actual owner' of Bithumb, a virtual currency exchange, and has been suspected of manipulating stock prices and embezzling company money from Bithumb affiliates with false good news.



After receiving the first investigation, Mr. Kang did not attend the investigation scheduled for the next day due to 'panic disorder'.



After that, he issued a certificate that he had been confirmed with Corona 19, but even after the quarantine period was over, he did not appear at the prosecutor's office for three consecutive days from the 17th.



It was found that Kang's side had been delaying attendance, saying that he had corona aftereffects such as high fever.



Kang's aide and Mr. Cho, the representative of an unlisted subsidiary of Bitsum, who is suspected of playing the role of a 'ssamjit money warehouse', is not responding to the summons investigation because of 'panic disorder'.



Mr. Lee, an executive at a Bithumb affiliate who helped Mr. Kang, was sentenced today to 1 year and 6 months in prison by the court.



Prior to the search and seizure of Bithumb affiliates by the prosecution in October of last year, Mr. Lee took the computer hard disks and mobile phones of key executives and employees,



Prosecutors believe that Kang, who was about to go to Singapore in October of last year and learned of the departure ban, conspired with Lee to destroy extensive evidence of key materials.



The prosecution effectively gave Kang an ultimatum to appear tomorrow morning.



If he does not come out this time, it is a policy that he will start compulsory procedures such as requesting an arrest warrant.
