There are four major charges applied to the arrest warrant for the former chairman of the Ssangbangwool Group, Kim Seong-tae.

The charges of embezzlement of Ssangbangwool Group's company money, which were listed in the arrest warrant, and the charge of breach of trust, which caused losses of 400 billion won to the company due to unfair support for an unlisted company, were applied first.

The warrant also included charges of violating the Foreign Exchange Control Act for illegal remittances to North Korea and offering bribes to Lee Hwa-young, former vice-governor of peace in Gyeonggi-do, who was indicted under arrest.

Former Chairman Kim's side said that they judged that economic cooperation at the private level was important for the charge of remittance to North Korea, and admitted that there was a procedural error, and that they did not want any special price to hand over the money to the former deputy governor.

The arrest warrant for former Chairman Kim was also charged with ordering company employees to destroy evidence and violating the Capital Markets Act.

An arrest warrant was requested for the current chairman of the Ssangbangwool Group, Yang Seon-gil, who was arrested with former chairman Kim in Thailand, as an accomplice in charges of embezzlement and breach of trust by former chairman Kim.

The suspect's interrogation before arrest for former Chairman Kim is scheduled to be held at the Suwon District Court at 2:30 pm today, and former Chairman Kim is said to have expressed his intention to give up the interrogation procedure.

When an arrest warrant is issued, it is known that the prosecution plans to continue a full-scale investigation into the use of the funds, including the suspicion that Lee Jae-myeong, the representative of the Democratic Party, paid attorney fees.
