It has been revealed that the daughter, who neglected her mother's body for over two years to receive a pension, neglected her sick mother even when she was alive.

Incheon Namdong Police Station announced today (18th) that it plans to apply additional charges of neglect under the Elderly Welfare Act to Mr.

The police believe that when Mr. A's mother, B, in her 70s, who had difficulty moving due to diabetes, was alive, she did not treat her properly and neglected her.

A's crime was confirmed through her B's medical records.

Mr. B received her last medical treatment in June 2020, two months earlier than her estimated death, but it was investigated that there was no medical record of her after that.

Mr. A claimed to the police that she "could not continue to treat her mother because of financial difficulties."

Previously, the police and Mr. A confirmed that she received and used most of her mother's basic pension of 300,000 won and the national pension of 200,000 to 300,000 won each month until last month, and applied charges of violating the National Pension Act and the Basic Pension Act.

For 28 months after the death of her mother, the pension that Mr. A received instead is around 15 million won.

A police official said, "It is believed that Mr. A neglected her mother without contacting her family or the fire department even though she needed treatment." We plan to find out.”

Earlier, Mr. A, who was being investigated for leaving his mother's body in a villa in Ganseok-dong, Namdong-gu, was reported to have said, "I did not report the death because I was afraid that my mother's pension would be cut off."

Previously, on the 11th, the police were dispatched after receiving a report from Mr. A's sister that "I came because I couldn't get in touch with her mother, but my sister who lives with me does not open the door," and found Mr. B's body.

Inside Mr. A's house, Mr. A's memo was found, saying 'My mother died in August 2020', and the police immediately arrested Mr. A.
