Recently, a suspected case of child abuse at a daycare center in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province was known through online communities, and the police who received the report of the incident started an investigation.

Yesterday (17th), a post titled "I was abused as a child at a daycare center. Please help" was posted on an online community.

Author A, who identified himself as a family member of a victim, posted a picture of his bruised shoulder saying, "My two-year-old nephew suffered child abuse at a daycare center in Ansan."

In the published photos, the victim's ears were covered with bruises from the bottom of the ear to the neck, shoulder and arm.

Mr. A said, "Nursery teacher Mr. B told the parents who visited the daycare center to drop off their child, saying, 'The child woke up and cried a lot during nap time, and when I applied bruise cream because of bruises, the bruises got bigger and spread." When the parents returned home and looked at the child's body, they found severe bruising and blood vessels in the ears."

Then, Mr. A said, "The parents of the child who suspected the assault went to the daycare center and asked for CCTV, but the daycare center replied, 'Last week, we didn't have it because we left it for repairs.' There was a problem with the CCTV hardware, so it was discarded.

The teacher changed his words by saying, 'The child was restrained by force for 10 to 15 minutes.'

However, even the daycare center's overturned explanation was not true.

According to Mr. A, "The police contacted me and told me that a CCTV was randomly submitted from the daycare center and that forensic work was in progress."

"The childcare teacher stated in the police investigation that (the victim child) did not sleep during nap time and restrained him by force for 10 to 15 minutes," he said. I want," he pleaded.

Today (18th), the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency's Women's and Youth Division announced that it had booked B, a daycare teacher at the daycare center, on charges of committing physical abuse (violation of the Child Welfare Act) by grabbing and shaking a 2-year-old child's shoulders with both hands.

On the day of the incident, the victim's child reported the damage to the police, and the Ansan Danwon Police Station, which has jurisdiction, transferred the case to the Gyeonggi Nambu Office, a higher-level institution, considering that the victim was under the age of 10.

Ansan City also received a report of child abuse and launched a fact-finding investigation, and after observing the results of the police investigation, we plan to take appropriate administrative measures against the daycare center.
