Yesterday, former chairman Kim Seong-tae, who was brought to the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office immediately after arriving at Incheon International Airport, was subjected to intense investigations for 13 hours.

Former Chairman Kim, who spent the night at the Suwon Detention Center after the investigation around midnight, is being investigated for the second day from 10 am today.

In yesterday's investigation, the prosecution is known to have focused on investigating the allegations necessary for requesting an arrest warrant for former chairman Kim.

It is said that the arrest warrant for former Chairman Kim listed charges of embezzlement of 10 billion won in corporate money and breach of trust for causing damages of 400 billion won to the company.

The suspicion that Ssangbangwool Group created slush funds in the process of issuing convertible bonds worth 20 billion won in both 2018 and 2019 and having related companies purchase them is also subject to investigation.

Today, it is expected that the investigation will continue on the remaining charges, including bribery, remittance to North Korea, and allegations of payment of attorney fees.

Kim denied most of the charges during his extradition.

[Kim Seong-tae/Former Chairman Ssangbang-ul: (About the creation of the slush fund?) If you investigate later, you will know, but what kind of slush fund.

(There was no slush fund itself right now?) To make convertible bonds for the company, what kind of slush fund...

Lee Jae-myeong, the representative of the Democratic Party, refuted allegations of payment of attorney fees more clearly.

[Kim Seong-tae/Ssangbang-ul, former chairman: Lee Jae-myung has never called, but he doesn't even know the phone number.

Anyway, I'm a person who lacks a lot...

As the arrest warrant expires tomorrow morning, the prosecution is expected to seek an arrest warrant for former Chairman Kim this afternoon at the earliest.
