A gang of teenagers who imprisoned and assaulted their ex-girlfriend were sentenced to a suspended prison sentence and a fine.

Today (17th), Judge Lee Ji-young of the 3rd Criminal Division of the Gwangju District Court sentenced Mr. A (19), who was charged with violating the Act on Punishment (joint confinement and joint injury), including acts of violence, to 4 months in prison and 1 year probation, and Mr. B ( 21, female) was sentenced to a fine of 6 million won.

A fine of 3 million won and 2 million won were sentenced to two acquaintances of Mr. A, who were handed over to trial together on charges of joint confinement.

In August 2021, in Gwangju, Mr. A's party threatened two people, including Mr. A's ex-girlfriend (teenager), saying, "If you don't get in the car, I will assault you," and took them to a reservoir parking lot.

After that, he is accused of hitting the victims several times for nearly four hours, dragging them out of the car, and assaulting them again.

It was confirmed that they committed this crime because the victim who had once dated Mr. A broke up and gossip about Mr. A to people around him.

Mr. A previously assaulted the victim several times with a weapon in April-June 2021.

The judge said, "The defendants jointly imprisoned the victims, and some of the defendants even injured them, so the crime is not good." The sentence was decided after considering it," he said.
