The case is worthy of a Hollywood scenario.
In the Var opens this Monday the trial of a high school student ... who has become a "hitman".
Three years ago, one of his friends had asked the young man to kill his father, to receive the inheritance.
In exchange, the alleged perpetrator received 2,000 euros.
Now he faces up to 30 years in prison.
It is a case a bit out of the ordinary which is judged this Monday by the Assize Court for minors of Draguignan, in the Var.
A fifteen-year-old teenager ordered the assassination of his own father for an inheritance affair.
If the latter has been judged, it is the turn of the alleged assassin to be confronted with justice.

Shot in the head
Because this story begins almost three years ago.
At the time, a fifteen-year-old teenager solicited his classmates to assassinate his father, a man in his fifties with a wealth of real estate.
"If you kill him, you have 2,000 euros".
This is what could be read on a contract written on a simple loose sheet.
Only one person ends up giving in to this offer: a friend two years his senior.
On April 24, 2020, the son provided him with a weapon with which he shot the fifty-year-old in his garage with a bullet in the head.
The purpose of this crime was in fact to recover the inheritance estimated at half a million euros from the Varois.
"A Crazy Friend"
Qualified as a child king, a liar or even a manipulator by those around him, the adolescent sponsor is quickly confused and was sentenced in April 2022 to 15 years in prison.
This Monday, it is the turn of his friend at the time, the alleged executor, to be tried.
The young man of 17, suffering from a psychological fragility, conceded during an interrogation that his "friend is crazy and that I am the only stupid person to have accepted".
From now on, this young man risks up to 30 years in prison, and will never receive the promised 2,000 euros.
