Former Ssangbangwool Group Chairman Kim Seong-tae, who was caught in Thailand after months of escape, entered Korea today (17th) through Incheon International Airport.

Asiana Airlines Flight OZ742 from Bangkok, Thailand, on which former Chairman Kim boarded, landed at Incheon International Airport at around 8:20 am today.

Former Chairman Kim is the actual owner of the Ssangbangwool Group, which has been involved in various allegations such as the Democratic Party's representative Lee Jae-myung's 'payment of attorney fees' and 'remittance to North Korea'.

Former Chairman Kim left for Singapore at the end of May last year ahead of a search and seizure by the prosecution, and then moved to Thailand at the end of July of the same year and lived a life of refuge.

On the 10th, he was arrested by the local police immigration office at a golf course in Pathum Thani, Thailand, with his cousin, Yang Seon-gil, current chairman of Ssangbangul.

Suwon District Prosecutor's Office 6th Criminal Division (Chief Prosecutor Kim Young-nam) plans to transport former Chairman Kim to the Prosecutor's Office for investigation.
