Former reserve captain Lee Geun, who participated in the war in Ukraine and was charged with violating the passport law, will also face trial on charges of hit and run.

On the 12th of last month, the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office indicted Lee Geun on charges of causing damage to the body under the Aggravated Punishment Act for Specific Crimes.

According to the Namdaemun Police Station in Seoul, Geun Lee drove his car near Chungjeongno Station in July of last year and crossed the center line and crashed into a motorcycle coming from the opposite side.

According to the police, Lee Geun left the scene without properly handling the accident, and was investigated after being charged with a hit-and-run.

A police official said, "As a result of the investigation, the intention of the hit-and-run was recognized, and the case was handed over to the prosecution with the opinion of prosecution."

At the time of the accident, it was an afternoon when the roads were relatively quiet, and it was reported that Lee Geun was not even drunk.

The motorcycle was severely damaged in the accident, but the driver suffered minor injuries.

The Seoul Central District Court plans to conduct a trial by merging Lee Geun's hit-and-run case and the charges of violating the passport law.
