It was found that a Chinese man in his 40s who refused to be quarantined and fled after being diagnosed with Corona 19 after entering the country ran away because his wife had the medicine he usually takes.

According to the Incheon Central Police Station, Chinese national A, who was arrested without detention for violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act, said in a police investigation today (11th), "My wife had panic disorder medication, so I tried to go get it." I didn't say anything," he said.

Mr. A was tested positive after entering Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 on a passenger plane departing from China on the 3rd, but he refused quarantine measures and ran away from the quarantine bus he was riding.

It was confirmed that Mr. A fled to a hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, which he had booked in advance at the time, and stayed for two days with his wife, who was negative when entering the country, and stopped by a pharmacy or bought a sweater while infected with Corona 19.

Mr. A, who went back and forth between China and Korea 5 times in 2018-2019 and had facial plastic surgery at a plastic surgery hospital in Gangnam, Seoul, stated that this time he "entered the country for hair loss treatment and shopping purposes."

The police caught Mr. A hiding in a hotel room during the day on the 5th, two days after the escape.

The police tried to investigate Mr. A yesterday, but the schedule was postponed to today at Mr. A's insistence that he be investigated in the presence of a lawyer.

The police plan not to investigate separately about Mr. A's wife, who did not help his husband in advance or contacted him during the escape process.

The police plan to send Mr. A, who was handed over to the immigration office, to the prosecution soon.
