Prosecutors, who were sent to the case in connection with the Itaewon disaster and handed over the recruits of some of the suspects, have embarked on a full-fledged investigation.

The Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office has been raiding 10 locations since the morning of the 10th, including the Yongsan Police Station, Yongsan-gu Office, and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Prosecutors have secured various reports and materials related to accident response to support the charges of negligent manslaughter on the job of the heads of agencies arrested and sent, including former Yongsan Police Station chief Lee Im-jae and Yongsan-gu chief Park Hee-young.

The prosecution is also sending prosecutors and investigators to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Office of Public Security Information and Foreign Affairs to check various information reports related to the Itaewon Halloween festival.

Today is the first time that the prosecution has launched a compulsory investigation after receiving the case from the Special Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency.
