Today (8th), a man in his 50s died on his first day at a logistics camp in Incheon.

This morning, a fire broke out with a loud explosion at the Taean Thermal Power Plant in Chungcheongnam-do.

Black smoke soars from the outer wall of the building, and hot steam pours horizontally from the burst pipe.



At around 8:40 this morning, residents reported that there was a loud explosion at the Taean Thermal Power Plant in Chungcheongnam-do.



Firefighters mobilized and extinguished the fire by shooting water jets and extinguished the flames in about an hour.



At the time of the fire, 12 people were on duty in the power plant, but all were evacuated and there were no casualties.



Fire authorities believe that the fire started with an explosion when an external pipe that transported gas made from coal burst.

At around 5:10 am this morning, at the Coupang Logistics Camp in Seo-gu, Incheon, a worker in his 50s, Mr. Park, was found collapsed in the bathroom on the 6th floor of the building.



He received CPR and was transported to the hospital, but later died.



A police official said, "It was found that Mr. Park went to work for the first time today as a member of a cooperative company in Coupang."

Yesterday afternoon, deaths were also confirmed in a plastic house fire in Hanam, Gyeonggi-do.



A man in his 60s was found dead inside a residential vinyl house.
