Composer and businessman Don Spike, Kim Min-soo (46), who was arrested and indicted for drug use, was sentenced to a suspended prison term in the first trial.

The Seoul Northern District Court today (9th) sentenced Mr. Kim, who was arrested and indicted for crimes under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes, to 3 years in prison and 5 years probation.

In addition, probation, 120 hours of community service, 80 hours of drug treatment lectures, and an additional fine of 39 million won were ordered.

The judge said, "The amount of methamphetamine purchased by the defendant is large, such as about 100 grams (g), and the method of the crime is not good, such as inviting several people and administering methamphetamine together."

However, the reason for the sentencing was revealed, saying, "It seems that a social bond has been formed to deter recidivism, such as family and people around them pleading for mercy."

Mr. Kim was handed over to trial on charges of buying 45 million won worth of methamphetamine on nine occasions from the end of 2021 and administering methamphetamine a total of 14 times.

Previously, in a trial on the 20th of last month, the prosecution said, "The amount of methamphetamine handled is considerable and the quality of the crime is poor by using the status of a celebrity to make other people participate in the crime." I asked for a time sentence.
