In July 2021, Mr. Jung Mo, a renter who suddenly died in Jeju, where there was no connection.

Until his death, Mr. Jeong owned about 240 villas and officetels in Yangcheon-gu and Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

Among them, only 35 houses are covered by deposit guarantee insurance.

Most tenants never got their deposits back.

[Victim: (Mr. Jeong) signed a contract intensively between May and July and died in July, so most of the people did not sign up for (price insurance).

] An electronic signature in Mr. Jeong's name was found, and it was also found that the agent carried a power of attorney and proceeded with the rental contract.

The police started tracking Jeong after seeing that he was just the so-called 'pants boss' and that there was a separate owner behind it.

The investigation revealed the outline of a professional charter scammer.

An official from the National Police Agency said that the actual landlord seems to be a consulting company rather than Mr. Jeong, and that it has been confirmed that several 'villain kings' in Daegu have been mobilized in addition to Mr. Jeong.

It has also been revealed that consulting firms have divided their roles, such as those in charge of sales and those in charge of tenants, and have established brokerage corporations for the purpose of obtaining commissions.

The police plan to conduct a compulsory investigation sooner or later to secure new recruits for the company officials.
