An incumbent police officer belonging to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency was caught driving drunk while towing a vehicle that had been involved in a traffic accident.
Gwangju Police Station in Gyeonggi Province booked without detention Inspector A from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for violating the Road Traffic Act.
Inspector A is accused of drunk driving on a road in Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province, around 10 pm yesterday (6th).
He had a collision with another vehicle and was caught while towing the car after agreeing with the other driver when he was dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of suspected drunkenness by someone.
At the time, Lieutenant A's blood alcohol level was determined to be at the level of license revocation.
The police believe that Inspector A was drunk driving at the time of the accident, and they plan to call him soon to investigate the details.
