A young man reported that he suffered body burns while receiving an unwanted birthday event from his acquaintances.

Victims are suffering day by day, but perpetrators were only sentenced to probation and fines because they were first offenders.

Reporter Kim Bo-mi covered the story.

A young man sits on a chair with a hood on his head in a dark empty lot, surrounded by young men of his age, and is tied up to his ankles with tape.

The young man tied to the chair was Mr. Park, who was 22 at the time.

Gasoline was sprayed around the bound Park, and firecrackers were placed on his knees and set on fire.

The spark fell on the gasoline and caught fire on Park, suffering serious injuries of 40% of the body and third-degree burns.

[Mr. Park: It was so hot, painful and painful that I fell asleep.

The perpetrators just look at the person tied to roll...

.]

On my birthday two years ago, young people of my age whom I knew suddenly came to me.

I was helping out at her mother's karaoke bar.

[Mr. Park: It's only been about a month or two since I found out.

Suddenly put on the hood, grabbed both arms and forced them into the car...

.]

It was near 11:00 p.m.

I came a little earlier, but as you can see, it is a difficult environment to ask for help because there are few people.

The pain was long.

[Mr. Park: I just kept riding.

To the point where I thought I was going to die like this.

Please call an ambulance 119, and then the perpetrators are gloomy and the ambulance is not easy to find...

.]

While going to and from the hospital, from skin transplant surgery to reconstructive treatment, the perpetrators were sentenced to probation and fines for being first-time offenders.

I wanted severe punishment, but I had no choice but to agree to the treatment cost that I couldn't afford.

[Mr. Park's mother: The prosecutor said, probation if I agree anyway, probation if I don't.

I had no choice but to cry and eat mustard (agreement)...

.]

About 100 million won, which is more than twice the amount of the settlement, has been spent on treatment so far.

In the end, an additional civil lawsuit was filed, but the outcome is unpredictable.

[Park's mother: I made a request like this to pay for the treatment.

And then my kids don't have money...
