A man in his 50s who threatened a substitute driver who came after receiving a call for no reason was sentenced to a suspended prison term.



According to the legal community today (6th), Daegu District Court Criminal 2 Single (Judge Kim Hyung-ho) sentenced Mr. A (50) to 1 year in prison for threatening the surrogate driver (driver assault under the Act on Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Crimes, etc.) He was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to do 120 hours of community service.



Mr. A is suspected of making a threat inside the car after entrusting the driving to Mr. B (30), who was contacted by a surrogate driver at around 9:00 pm on June 10th.



At the time, he said to Mr. B, “I always carry a weapon,” and brought an unknown object to Mr. B’s body.



Mr. B parked the car after driving, but Mr. A again brought the dog near the parking lot and did not stop threatening, saying, "My dog ​​wants to bite you. Can I release it?"



To Mr. A, who stood in court, the judge pointed out, "The defendant made the victim feel considerable fear by threatening words and actions for no reason."



He then revealed the reason for the sentencing, saying, "The sentence was decided by combining the points of failing to reach an agreement with the victim and the point of admitting the crime."
