The problem of so-called 'eating', where tents are set up at beach campsites in Jeju and left unattended for a long time or used only when necessary, has not been resolved.

Jeju City posted a first notice on its website for administrative execution, stating that by the 16th, 7 tents that had been damaged and left for a long time at the Hyeopjae and Geumneung Beach campsites would be forcibly removed if they did not voluntarily remove them.

Administrative Vicarious Execution is one of the means of compulsory enforcement. It is a system that assigns duties to government offices or third parties and collects expenses on behalf of those who have not fulfilled administrative law duties.

Previously, on the 8th of last month, the city attached a notice of voluntary removal to these damaged tents and posted a public notice to complete the demolition by the 27th of the same month, but it was not implemented.

The owners of these tents are currently unknown.

The problem is that the target of this administrative execution was limited to 7 tents that were noticeably damaged among 30 long-term abandoned tents at the campsites of Hyeopjae Beach and Geumneung Beach.

The campgrounds are free throughout the year on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is no set period for maximum availability.

Even if it has been installed for a long time, if there are many household items and there is a high possibility of users, this is why forced removal is difficult.

Due to this, when the tent is judged to be damaged and neglected, it is demolished.

There are not a few sane users who take advantage of this to 'set up tents' in good places and stop by occasionally to enjoy camping whenever necessary.

In the end, dissatisfaction with residents and tourists who share the campsite is growing day by day.

In fact, it was easy to find posts complaining of inconvenience about long-term neglected tents on the bulletin boards of 'Wish to Jeju Self-Governing Province' and 'Complaints on Tourism Discomfort' on the Jeju Island website.

Mr. Lim, who posted a post in November of last year, said, "We need measures for egg-laying tents in Hyeopjae and Geumneung Beach campgrounds." "There are many aesthetic and safety problems due to unmanaged tents. The truth is embarrassing."

Another post, Mr. Jeong Mo, said, "Because of the so-called long-term stay (long stay) tents that build tents like villas and come and play only when they feel like it, people who go camping with a good mood for a day have no place to open a tent." The collapsed old tents are spread out in a beautiful place, harming the scenery."

A city official said, "We are guiding on-site long-term installation tents by arranging manpower, and if the user is unknown, we attach a notice to voluntarily remove them." We will watch more," he said.
