A woman in her 30s who threatened and stalked a man she was dating was sentenced to a fine.



According to the legal community today (3rd), the 12th detective of the Seoul Eastern District Court (Judge Shin Seong-cheol) recently imposed a fine of 3 million on Mr. A (33), who was charged with violating the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes, destroying property, intimidation, assault, etc. sentenced won.



Mr. A, who had been meeting with victim B, whom he met through an online game in August 2021, was notified of the breakup by phone on January 5 last year, after 5 months of dating.



Then, Mr. A started threatening Mr. B's family, saying, "Is it okay to spray hydrochloric acid?"



On the 14th of the same month, Mr. A sent more than 700 messages over two days, such as “You still like me. I committed stalking.



In addition, when Mr. B avoided the phone call, Mr. A went to Mr. B’s residence, grabbed Mr. B’s collar and assaulted his head 3-4 times, kicked Mr. B’s vehicle and damaged the door, etc. I did too.



The judge, who looked at this, sentenced Mr. A to a fine of 3 million won and ruled that "if the defendant does not pay the fine, the defendant will be confined to the labor camp for a period of 100,000 won converted into 1 day."
