Today (2nd), the first day of work in the new year, the National Coalition for the Elimination of Discrimination against Disabled People again staged a demonstration to secure a budget for the rights of people with disabilities.

Let's connect our reporters who are out in the subway triangle area.

Reporter Kim Min-joon, a group for the disabled held a protest this morning, is it still going on?

Yes, Jeon Jeon-yeon's subway protests have continued for 11 hours since this morning at the Samgak area platform of Seoul Subway Line 4, where I am.

The subway protests, which were temporarily suspended, resumed today because the budget for the rights of the disabled, which they argued in the National Assembly budget at the end of last year, was not sufficiently reflected.

Around rush hour, as the number of subway users increased, the slogans of members of Jeon Jeon-yeon to take the subway inside the station and the warning broadcast of the Seoul Transportation Corporation sounded at intervals of one minute in response were mixed up.

[Members of Jeon Jang-yeon: Let me ride the subway!

Please let me take the subway!]

[Seoul Transportation Corporation warning broadcast: Please stop the protest immediately and leave the station.]

There was one non-stop passage around 3:00 pm, but now about 600 police and Seoul Transportation Corporation employees are blocking the subway is running normally.

Seoul Transportation Corporation did not accept the arbitration proposal put forward by the court to solve the problem. Then, what will happen in the future?

On the 19th of last month, the court presented a mediation plan regarding the damages lawsuit filed by the Seoul Transportation Corporation against Jeon Yeon-yeon.

The corporation was recommended to install all elevators in 19 stations by 2024, and Jeon Jeon-yeon was ordered to suspend train boarding demonstrations and to pay the corporation 5 million won per time if the operation is delayed for more than 5 minutes due to protests. I did.

Jeon Jeon agreed to this adjustment, but Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon virtually rejected the adjustment, saying, "It is absurd to delay the subway by 5 minutes, which is a big deal if you are late by 1 minute."

If either party refuses, the mediation bill does not come into existence and goes to trial on the merits.

Jeon Jeon-yeon plans to continue the all-night demonstration for 2 days and 1 night until tomorrow.
