A son in his 30s who assaulted and killed a father in his 60s at a villa in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do at around 4:30 pm yesterday (1st), the first day of the new year, was arrested by the police.
Seongnam Police Station in Gyeonggi-do arrested and investigated son A, who has a second degree intellectual disability, as a current criminal on charges of murdering an elder.
Mr. A is accused of killing his father by punching him in the face several times with his fists and feet for complaining about a side dish to his grandmother who was serving a table during a meal.
A neighbor who heard the father's scream called 112.
The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant today for Mr. A, who was in detention center.
