A court sentenced a man in his 70s who threatened apartment residents with two large dogs.

Today (2nd), according to the legal community, Daejeon District Court Detective 5 Dol-dan (Judge Park Jun-beom) sentenced A (74), who was charged with intimidation, to a fine of 5 million won.

Mr. A was accused of threatening to attack apartment resident B (69), whom he encountered near an apartment located in Jung-gu, Daejeon, on July 8, 2020 at around 9:30 am with two large dogs.

At that time, Mr. A cursed at Mr. B for no particular reason, and continued to threaten Mr. B while pursuing him.

As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that Mr. A had a history of causing a dog bite accident in the past due to negligence of not covering the muzzle of a large dog near the crime scene and being notified of a summary order.

In the end, Mr. A, who stood in court, denied the crime, but the judge, who looked at various statements and evidence submitted, determined that Mr. A's crime was sufficiently acknowledged.

The judge pointed out that "the defendant went for a walk without a muzzle on the dog, and repeated a similar crime in a similar place even though he had a history of power."

He continued, "Before this crime, he also committed a similar crime against the same victim."
