If you look at the criminal case, especially the ruling of the court related to sex crimes, 'the suspect is reflecting...

' is a phrase often encountered.

This is because there is a 'reflection' of the suspect among the sentencing standards by which the court determines the sentence of the suspect.

However, rather than true reflection, fake reflection to get a commutation is prevalent, and even Internet cafes that teach how to do it are prevalent.

This is reporter Park Se-won.

Mr. A, who was sexually assaulted by his boss four years ago, suffered post-traumatic stress disorder and even depression and has been receiving hospital treatment.

After thinking about it, he sued the perpetrator and brought it to trial, but the court of first instance sentenced him to eight months in prison and two years of probation.

What made Mr. A more difficult than the sentence was the reason for the sentencing.

[Mr. A/Victim: I didn't understand this part the most.

'I'm deeply reflecting on my mistakes' I'm sorry for the victim, I didn't even come up with an apology or a letter of reflection.]

After the prosecution appealed, something more absurd happened.

The perpetrators all responded by submitting five types of sentencing reference materials, but in addition to the usual documents such as letters of apology and petitions, sexual harassment prevention training certificates, volunteer confirmations, and even organ donation pledges were included.

The second trial court also dismissed the appeal, citing "the degree of indecent conduct is heavy" but "the point of regretting one's mistakes in court".

[Mr. A/Victim: I am my life and everything has been ruined because of this, but you keep saying sorry only to the judge.

How can this be sincere reflection on the victim, deeply regretful reflection?]

Internet cafes are overflowing with articles sharing experiences and materials to help commute sentences, and there is even a saga of overturning guilt from guilt through cash donations.

Although these materials are mainly issued by organizations of a public interest nature, the reality is that it is not possible to sort out the bad intentions of the perpetrators.
