Around 5 pm yesterday, the supply of electricity to the train tracks going up from Cheonan-Asan Station to Jije Station in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do was stopped.

As a result, KTX and SRT services were delayed by up to 2 hours from yesterday afternoon to night, and some SRT trains are not running today.

SR, the operator of the Suseo High-Speed Railroad, announced that as of 10:00 am, the operation of 15 trains was canceled and 14 trains were reduced.

It is estimated that 14,000 passengers will receive refunds as train tickets are canceled on the second day.

Trains that are in normal operation are also stopped in the middle, causing inconvenience to passengers.

Six of the trains that departed today were delayed by between 20 and 40 minutes.

The train, which was judged to be unable to operate further, stopped at Daejeon, Ulsan, and Osong stations, and passengers were put on the next train.

It was found that the cause of the electricity cut off on the track yesterday was that the non-woven fabric attached during the waterproofing work two days ago got caught in the tram line.

The SR side said that the recovery work was completed overnight, but some trains are broken down due to momentary overvoltage, so disruption to operation is expected until this afternoon.

KTX, which uses the same tram line as SRT, is also expected to have delayed trains.
