The Bosingak New Year's Night Bell ringing event, which was suspended due to Corona 19, will resume after three years.



The event will be held at Bosingak in Jongno, Seoul from 11:30 pm today (31st) to 0:30 am tomorrow.



The ringing ceremony was attended by 10 citizens, including Cho Kyu-seong, the protagonist of the Qatar World Cup round of 16, Choi Young-jin, a righteous man who saved citizens by clearing obstacles and digging drains in heavy rain, and artist Jeong Eun-hye, who appeared as actress Han Ji-min's older sister Young-hee in the drama 'Our Blues'. Participate as a representative.



These citizen representatives form three groups with Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon and others to ring the New Year's Eve bell a total of 33 times.



The city of Seoul expects to gather around 100,000 people at this event, and plans to install 11 booths, including a joint situation room, 4 electronic display boards, and deploy 1,000 safety guards around Bosingak.



Also, from 9:00 pm tonight to 1:30 am tomorrow, the roads around Bosingak will be completely controlled, and the subway will pass through Jonggak Station on Line 1 without stopping from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am tomorrow.



After the event, public transportation will run extended until 2:00 a.m.



The city of Seoul announced that it has installed 330-inch vehicle screen display boards that allow real-time viewing of the entire bell-ringing event at Gwanghwamun Square and Dongdaemun Design Plaza to disperse the crowds at Bosingak.



On the other hand, along with the New Year's Bell Ceremony, a variety of performances will be held on the special stage prepared at Bosingak, including a fusion Korean music performance by Lee Sang (Korean traditional music band) and Kim Joo-ri (Korean traditional music player), and a theme performance by Poppin Hyun-Jun (Korean traditional music player) and Park Ae-ri (Korean traditional music player).
