An arrest warrant was dismissed for CEOs Kang Jin-goo and Choi Young-min of the YouTube media'Citizen Media The Exploration', who are accused of trespassing into the residence of Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon.

Seyong Kim, chief judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, explained the reason for the dismissal, saying, "There is a lack of explanation for the reason and necessity of arrest."

In addition, the court is known to have explained three major reasons for dismissal to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's anti-corruption and public crime investigation team investigating the case.

First, the court is known to have explained to the effect that the suspects are admitting wrongdoing, and that the possibility of escape and recidivism is low considering the suspect's family relationship and residence.

The matter is not light, but it is said that the investigation agency has determined that arrest is not necessary as it has secured enough evidence through seizure and search.

A police official explained, "The court also considers the matter important, but as the suspects admit the charges, they seem to have judged the need for an arrest investigation low."

Representatives Kang and Choi are suspected of trespassing on the residence by visiting the apartment in Gangnam-gu, Seoul where Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon lives last month and touching the door lock.

In response, Minister Han filed a complaint with the police against five people, including CEO Kang, for trespassing on a common residence and crimes of retaliation.

Representative Kang attended the warrant review on the afternoon of yesterday (29th) and said, "Looking at the prosecution's warrant request, the act of visiting Minister Han's apartment was not recognized as an interview activity at all." The protection of the privacy of public officials was emphasized."
