An executive of an affiliate of the virtual currency exchange 'Bithumb' died while being investigated by the prosecution due to suspicion of embezzlement and stock price manipulation by the management.

According to the police and prosecutors, on the morning of the 30th, Mr. Park, vice president of Vident, a Bithumb affiliate, was found dead in front of his home in Dongjak-gu, Seoul.

The police believe that Park made an extreme choice.

Park is said to have been in charge of accounting under the key suspect, Kang Jong-hyun's brother and sister.

Vidente is the largest shareholder with a 34.22% stake in Bithumb Holdings.

The largest shareholder of Vident is Inbiogen, and the largest shareholder of Inbiogen is Bucket Studio.

Kang Ji-yeon, the younger sister of Kang Jong-hyun, is the CEO of Inbiogen and Bucket Studio.

The Seoul Southern District Prosecutor's Office's Financial Investigation Division 2 seized and searched related companies such as Vident, Inbiogen, and Bucket Studios on October 7, catching the circumstances that Kang's brother and sister conspired to embezzle company money or manipulate stock prices.

The prosecution's investigation into the deceased Park is expected to end with no prosecution.
