Always more caution for motorists.

Waze would be working on a feature to warn its users that they are traveling on a dangerous road, reports the Israeli media

Geektime

relayed by

.

The GPS app has already rolled out the new option but only in beta.

This is based on data collected by Waze to identify roads with statistically higher than average accident occurrences.

As a reminder, Waze works largely with the participation of its users, who warn each other in real time in the event of danger.

More attentive drivers

When approaching a section considered potentially dangerous, given the number of accidents that have already occurred there, Waze will send a notification to the motorist.

The latter will thus be informed of the situation and the length of the zone considered dangerous.

Drivers will be better prepared and more alert when approaching dangerous roads.

Those who wish can disable the new feature in the app settings.

A crash history will also be available after the new option is rolled out to all users.

It is unknown, however, that this deployment will take place.
