Prosecutors who investigated the 'attacking of public servants in the West Sea' handed over to trial former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won and former Defense Minister Seo Wook on charges of ordering to delete intelligence.

Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office Public Investigation Division 1 (Chief Prosecutor Lee Hee-dong) today (29th) indicted former director Park and former NIS chief secretary Eun-chae Noh for violating the National Intelligence Service Act and damaging public electronic records.

The prosecution indicted former Minister Seo without detention on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of exercising rights.

They are accused of ordering to delete related intelligence from the NIS and the Ministry of National Defense for the purpose of covering up the case on September 23, 2020, the day after the late Lee Dae-joon, a public official at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, was killed by the North Korean military.
