Controversy over subway heating during commute hours is arising as outerwear becomes thicker due to the cold wave that continues every day.

Recently, several articles complaining of inconvenience have been posted on online communities with titles such as 'Can I turn off the heater in the subway?'

As a result, among netizens, there are opinions in favor of the article, such as 'Everyone wears padding, but heating is necessary' and 'There is a limit to taking off even when it is hot', and 'There are many elderly people who are sensitive to the cold in public transportation, so we need to be considerate. ', 'People who are cold in summer and hot people in winter should endure'.

According to the Seoul Transportation Corporation, of the 760,000 complaints received at the customer center last year, 58.7% were complaints related to air conditioning.

In particular, there are hundreds of complaints about 'hot' and 'cold' received at the same time on the same train, making it difficult to meet each individual request.

The construction said that the temperature at both ends of the cabin is usually low, and that hot passengers move to both ends of the cabin.
